How to unfollow lots of accounts without getting blocked

Instagram limits how many actions you can take in a row, like following and unfollowing. Going too far can block those actions for a while.

Is there an exact number?

No. Instagram doesn’t publish the limit, and it varies with your account’s age and history. The safest approach is to clean up gradually, over several days.

How to clean up

  1. First set aside the accounts you want to keep, so you don’t have to decide on the spot.
  2. Unfollow in small batches, with breaks in between.
  3. If you see an action blocked message, stop and continue the next day.

Avoid mass-unfollow apps. They take lots of actions in a short time, which is exactly what Instagram blocks.

How the tool helps

Cleanup mode shows one profile at a time, with a button to open it on Instagram. It counts how many you marked that day and warns you when you pass the limit you set.
