Lots of apps promise to show who unfollowed you, who views your profile and who likes you most. To do that, they ask you to log in with your account.

What can go wrong

Promises that can’t be kept

No app can truly show who viewed your profile: Instagram doesn’t share that with anyone. Lists like that are made up.

Since December 2024, Instagram has also shut down the access third-party apps used to read personal accounts. That’s why many of these apps stopped working properly or now depend on your password.

The safe alternative: use Instagram’s official export. You don’t have to give your password to anyone, and tools like this one read the file on your own device.
